Iber-Lepenc is joining the Alpex day-ahead market, Alpex said in a press release last week.

In November, Kosovo state-owned energy corporation KEK and power grid operator KOSTT became the first two members of the Kosovo bidding zone on Alpex.

Alpex's Albanian bidding zone has 16 members.

Alpex was founded by Albanian power grid operator OST and Kosovo’s KOSTT in October 2020 and held its first Albania bidding in April 2023. An Albania-Kosovo market coupling is pending regulatory approval.

Iber-Lepenc is active in water supply and energy production from the Ujman hydroelectric power plant in north-western Kosovo.
