Kosovo's H1 Budget Surplus Falls to 23 Mln Euro

September 28 (SeeNews) - Kosovo had a consolidated budget surplus of 23.0 million euro ($33.7 million) in the first half of the year, compared to a surplus of 81.6 million euro a year earlier, Kosovo’s Central Bank said on Monday.

Revenue in the first six months of the year rose by 2.9%, while spending increased by 21.5%, the central bank said in its monthly economic report, quoting data of the Finance Ministry.

In 2008 Kosovo had a budget deficit of 8.0 million euro versus a 166.8 million euro surplus in 2007.
