Kosovo's gross power output inches up in Sep

November 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production amounted to 459.78 GWh in September, up 1.16% year-on-year, the national statistical office said.

Thermal power plants produced 377 GWh of electricity, wind and solar plants generated 32.8 GWh, while hydro plants produced 6.3 GWh in September, Kosovo's Agency of Statistics said in a statement on Wednesday.

Kosovo imported 246.2 GWh of electricity in September, down 10% on the year, whereas power exports fell 37.4% to 202.5 GWh.

Coal production amounted to 6020 tonnes in September, down 28.6% from the prior-year period.

In August, Kosovo's gross electricity production amounted to 514.4 GWh, up 10.4% year-on-year, the national statistical office said earlier.
