Kosovo's gross power output falls y/y in Feb

April 24 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production amounted to 663.71 GWh in February 2024, down 7% on the year, the national statistical office, ASK, said on Wednesday.

Thermal power plants produced 567.9 GWh of electricity, wind and solar plants generated 44.2 GWh, while hydro plants produced 17.6 GWh in February, ASK said in a monthly statement.

In February, net imports amounted to 300.6 GWh, inching down 0.6% on the year, whereas total electricity exports saw a 86% rise on the year to 266.6 GWh.

Coal production amounted to 6,488 tonnes in February, up 30% from the prior-year period.
