Kosovo's gross power output down 9.44% y/y in Aug

October 25 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production decreased to 460.24 GWh in August, down 9.44% year-on-year, the national statistical office said.

Thermal power plants produced 447.18 GWh of electricity, wind and solar power plants generated 20.49 GWh, while hydro power plants generated 4.37 GWh, Kosovo's Agency of Statistics said in a statement on Monday.

Kosovo imported 355.24 GWh of electricity in August, up 17.03% on the year, whereas power exports rose by an annual 50.45% to 367.03 GWh.

Coal production was about 5.73 thousand tonnes in August, down 2.49% compared with the same month of the previous year.
