“Our economy grew by 5.2% in 2022, following an impressive 10.7% expansion in 2021. For 2023, it appears that we will conclude the year with economic growth of 3.8%,” Kurti said on Tuesday, as seen in a video published on social media.

Kosovo's GDP rose by a real 2.02% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2023, after increasing by an annual 3.91% in the previous three-month period, the statistical office said earlier.

The government 2023 economic growth forecast aligns with the International Monetary Fund’s, which said last month that Kosovo's economy will expand by 3.8% this year. According to the World Bank's latest projection made last month, Kosovo’s GDP will grow by 3.2% in 2023.

Earlier this month, Kosovo's parliament approved the 2024 budget bill which projects GDP growth of 7% next year.
