Kosovo banks' raise net profit 17% y/y in Jan-Feb

March 26 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banks increased to 29.6 million euro ($32.12 million) in the first two months of 2024, from 25.2 million euro in the prior-year period, the country's central bank said.

The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 4.95 billion euro at the end of February, up 13% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly data release on Monday.

Deposits with Kosovo's banks rose by 8% at the year in February, reaching 6 billion euro.

The total assets of Kosovo's banking system increased by 10% on the year to 7.387 billion euro as at the end of February.

The figures comprise the financial results of eleven banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and NLB Banka were the largest among them in terms of assets by the end of the fourth quarter, according to Kosovo’s banking association.
