Kosovo awards 3 mln euro bridge building deals to local contractors

November 27 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s infrastructure ministry said on Monday that it awarded contracts totalling 3.35 million euro (3.66 million) to local contractors for the construction of bridges along a recently-expanded national road.

A consortium between World Medium, Ndertimi ING, Adea Construction, Capital X Fet and businessman Adnan Bislimi won a 1.9-million euro deal for the construction of a bridge in the village of Mece near the southwestern city of Gjakova, the ministry said a notice.

Construction company Granit was awarded an 838,289 euro contract to build a bridge near Gjakova in the Rakovine area.

A tie-up between Ledioni Group, AAB Construction and businessman Agim Morina was awarded a 526,487-euro deal for the construction of a new bridge near the central town of Peje.

The tender winners were selected through a price-based contest, tender documents showed earlier.

All construction works should be concluded within a two-year timeframe.
