Koncar pushes higher Croatian equity indices

March 12 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange advanced on Tuesday backed by gains in index heavyweight electrical concern Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI], bourse data showed.

The 20-share benchmark CROBEX added 0.32% to 2,784.78 points.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.74% to close at 1,663.58 points.

Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB] was the most traded company with a turnover of 606,000 euro ($662,000), as its shares shed 2.52% to 232 euro.

Ordinary shares of power transformers manufacturer Koncar Distributivni i Specijalni Transformatori (Koncar D&ST) [ZSE: KODT] generated the second largest turnover, 524,000 euro, ending flat at 1,440 euro. They will replace its preferred shares [ZSE: KODT2] as a component of the CROBEX index as of March 18.

Shares of Koncar Elektroindustrija soared 3.94% to 264 euro in a turnover of 287,000 euro.

The regular turnover reached 3.9 million euro from 1.9 million euro on Monday boosted by 1.5 million euro trading with government bonds.
