KfW grants 19.5 mln euro to Bosnia for energy efficiency projects

December 18 (SeeNews) - German development bank KfW has signed an agreement with Bosnia to provide 19.5 million ($21.7 million) in grants for the financing of projects for enhancing the energy efficiency of public buildings, Bosnia's finance ministry said.

Bosnia's Federation entity will receive 9.5 million euro, while the other entity, the Serb Republic, will get 10 million euro, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Through these projects, energy efficiency measures will be introduced in public buildings, primarily in schools and kindergartens", Bosnia's finance minister Vjekoslav Bevanda said.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is formed of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
