Kempinski Hotels to invest 70 mln euro in Romania ski resort

December 7 (SeeNews) - Switzerland's luxury hotel chain Kempinski Hotels said that it will invest 70 million euro ($75.5 million) in a ski resort in Romania's Carpathian Mountains, located in the central county of Brasov.

Kempinski Poiana Brasov mountain resort will be the first five-star hotel in the Transylvania region and Kempinski's first project in the country, the company said on Tuesday.

Developed by Bucharest-based developer Rock Holding, the project aims at transforming the region into a popular destination for travelers.

The mountain resort will comprise 120 rooms and suites, a spa and wellness centre, three dining outlets, and a conference and events space.
