Jumbo's 10-mo sales in Bulgaria up 14% y/y

In October alone, sales in Bulgaria increased by an annual 3%, compared to 5% posted for the group as a whole, Jumbo said in a press release last week.

In Romania, Jumbo's sales added 14% year-on-year in October and 16% in the first ten months of 2023.

For the ten months through October of 2022, the Jumbo group booked an 11% annual growth in sales, with sales in Bulgaria rising by 5% and sales in Romania edging up by 1% on the year, according to an earlier statement.

Jumbo said it opened a new hyperstore in Bulgaria's Plovdiv on November 8, while a new store in Iasi, Romania, was opened in October.
