Italy's Tre V Ambiente eyes biomass project in Serbia's Uzice – municipality

BELGRADE (Serbia), December 11 (SeeNews) – Italian waste management company Tre V Ambiente is interested in 20 million euro ($25.8 million) waste disposal project in Serbia's western city of Uzice, where it would produce biomass, Uzice municipality said.

The project will be sited at the Duboko landfill in Uzice.

“The very next month we will create a business plan in which we will specify all the elements of the future investment,” the president of the consortium, Maurizio Scalabrini said on Friday at the meeting with the municipality’s officials.

The deal with Tre V Ambiente would be the first private-public partnership with a foreign partner in Uzice, the mayor of Uzice, Sasa Milosevic said in a statement published on the municipality's website.

Tre V Ambiente if a unit of Italy's waste recycling company SIP SA, which is 75% owned by the municipality of Vicenza.
