October 13 (SeeNews) - Italy's Adriatica Spa has launched a 17 million euro ($25 million) project for the construction of a fertiliser plant and a storage facility in Croatia, local media reported on Tuesday.
The 20,000 square metre plant will be built in the town of Vukovar, located on Danube tributary Vuka river in eastern Croatia, and will have an annual capacity of 500,000 tones of fertilisers, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik (www.poslovni.hr) reported, quoting Adriatica co-owner Massimo Ferro as telling reporters during a tour of the construction site.
The plant, which should employ some 200 staff, is scheduled to conduct a production dry run by the end of this year.
