Investments in Romanian economy rise 17.9% in Jan-Sept

December 3 (SeeNews) - Investments in Romania's economy grew by 17.9% to 49 billion lei ($13.9 billion/10.8 billion euro) in the nine months through September, the country's statistics board said on Monday.

Investments in Romanian economy rise 17.9% in Jan-Sept

In the third quarter alone, investments increased by an annual 16% to 20.3 billion lei, the statistics office, INS, said in a statement.

Investments in industry accounted for 39.4% of the total in the first nine months of 2012, followed by investments in trade and services with a 30.3% share. The construction sector attracted 24.4% of the total investments.
