Intesa Sanpaolo’s Croatian bank reports 397 mln euro 2023 net income

February 14 (SeeNews) - Italy's Intesa Sanpaolo Group said its subsidiary bank in Croatia, Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ), closed 2023 with a net income of 397 million euro ($425 million).

Operating income totalled 632 million euro, while operating costs amounted to 214 million euro last year, Intesa Sanpaolo said a presentation of its 2023 financial results published last week.

Customer deposits amounted to 13.1 billion euro in 2023, while customer loans totalled 8.8 billion euro.

Intesa Sanpaolo did not provide comparative figures but according to a presentation made last year, PBZ's net income in 2022 amounted to 188 million euro. Its operating income back then came in at 448 million euro and operating costs amounted to 196 million euro. Customer deposits totalled 12.7 billion euro in 2022, while customer loans totalled 8.1 billion euro.
