Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to grow by 2.2% next year, the IMF said in the October 2023 edition of its World Economic Outlook report published on Tuesday.
In 2022, the country's economy expanded by 2.5%, the IMF said.
The Fund expects an average consumer price inflation of 7.4% in Slovenia in 2023, decelerating from 8.8% last year. Average inflation is seen at 4.2% in 2024.
Slovenia is expected to swing to a current account surplus of 4.4% of GDP this year from a deficit of 1.0% in 2022, while in 2024 the current account surplus is expected to reach 3.8% of GDP, according to the report.
The unemployment rate is expected to decline to 3.6% in 2023 from 3.8% last year.
