IMF mission to visit Bulgaria Sept 20-Oct 2

September 11 (SeeNews) - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will pay a visit to Bulgaria from September 20 through October 2 to discuss recent economic developments and policies with the local authorities, the fund's resident representative in Bulgaria and Romania, Tonny Lybek, said on Tuesday.

The regular 2012 staff visit to Sofia, which will involve an annual review of the Bulgarian economy, will be headed by Catriona Purfield, Lybek said in a statement.

“The mission will meet with officials from the ministry of finance, the Bulgarian National Bank, other government institutions, as well as representatives from the private sector, unions, and non-government organizations,” the statement said.
