IHB shares drop 3.85%, drag Sofia stock indices lower

October 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed lower on Tuesday, largely hurt by a 3.85% decrease in the share price of Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) [BUL:4ID].

The blue-chip SOFIX index closed 0.22% lower at 569.32 points on Tuesday, as other decliners included Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] and Chimimport [BUL:6C4].

IHB also led decliners among members of the BGTR30 indexр in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGTR30 ended 0.12% lower at 506.68 points on Tuesday.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased 0.34% to 113.04 points, as it was also hurt by a 7.43% drop in the share price of metal products maker Alcomet [BUL:6AM].

The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, closed unchanged at 128.08 points, after setting two consecutive record highs in the preceding trading sessions.

Total regulated market trading turnover dropped to some 607,000 levs on Tuesday from 4.5 million levs on Monday.
