IHB, Chimimport back slim rise of Sofia bourse blue-chip index

November 4 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index edged up 0.05% to 554.90 points on Monday, backed by diversified groups Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) [BUL:4ID] and Chimimport [BUL:6C4].

IHB shares closed Monday's trading session 2% higher at 1.02 levs, while Chimimport gained 1.18% to 1.71 levs.

All other indices in Sofia closed lower on Monday.

The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, fell 0.23% to 109.50 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dropped 0.86% to 495.53 points.

Both indices were hurt by a 7.74% decrease in the share price of Holding Nov Vek [BUL:6N3]. The BGTR30 was additionally dragged down by an 8.54% plunge in Investor.bg [BUL:4IN] shares.

The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, fell 0.44% to 129.09 points, further backing away from its 130.42-points all-time high set last week.

Total regulated market trading turnover fell to 383,000 levs ($218,000/196,000 euro) on Monday from 491,000 levs in the previous trading session.
