SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 26 (SeeNews) – Hungarian investors will launch the construction of a 18 million euro ($27 million) shopping centre in Tetovo, in northwestern Macedonia, at the beginning of next year, the Macedonian Economic Chamber said on Monday.
The shopping centre is expected to be opened at the end of 2010, the Economic Chamber said in a statement, quoting one of the Hungarian investors, Eran Friedman.
The Tetovo Plaza shopping facility will cover an area of 22,000 square metres and will house 120 stores plus a supermarket. It will create 400 new jobs, the statement said.
The investors, who have been active in building shopping centres in Hungary in the last 15 years, said that half of the future stores in the Tetovo Plaza have already been leased.
