Hrvatski Telekom, Koncar lift Croatian equity indices to record highs

March 20 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) reached record highs on Wednesday on gains in Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] and electrical concern Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI], bourse data showed.

The regular turnover reached 2.9 million euro ($3.2 million) from 1.0 million euro a day earlier.

The 21-share benchmark CROBEX rose 0.82% to finish at 2,820.36 points, its highest level in at least five years.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.84% to close at 1,707.68 points.

In regular trading, Hrvatski Telekom was the most traded company with a turnover of 626,000 euro, as its shares rose 1.35% to 30.10 euro on the news that the company has proposed to pay a dividend of 1.53 euro per share.

Shares of Koncar Elektroindustrija went up 0.76% to close at 264 euro in a turnover of 219,000 euro.

In lower turnovers, food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] rose 0.94%, while shares of Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB] surged 2.56%.

In a block deal of almost 3.3 million euro, a total of 40,625 ordinary shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS] changed hands at a price of 81 euro apiece.
