H&M 9-mo FY sales in Croatia rise sharply

September 27 (SeeNews) - Swedish apparel retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) said on Thursday its sales in Croatia rose 232% to 415 million Swedish crowns ($63 million/49 million euro) in the first nine months of fiscal year 2012 started December 1.

The sales figure includes value-added tax.

At end-August, H&M operated 10 stores in Croatia, the company said in its nine-month report.

H&M opened its first store in Croatia during the second quarter of fiscal 2011.

Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, H&M has stores in Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia.
