ZAGREB (Croatia), December 9 (SeeNews) - The luxury Hilton Costabella resort complex in Croatia's Adriatic city of Rijeka will open doors in summer 2020, the municipal government said.
The five-star complex will offer six levels with 132 hotel rooms and 66 apartments in villas, or an overall 280 rooms with 560 beds, the municipal government said in a statement on Friday.
The project investor and developer is local company JTH Costabella owned by Czech real estate company Jaroslav Tresnak - Horova (JTH).
The head of the Hilton Costabella resort, Jose Luis Ruiz, said in the statement that this will be Hilton's first resort hotel in Croatia, adding there are already five Hilton hotels in the Adriatic country.
"Since Rijeka will be a [European] capital of culture next year and the tourism in Rijeka is constantly growing, we predict bright future for the tourism in this area," Ruiz said.
Hilton Costabella Beach Resort & Spa will also feature a 4,000 square metres wellness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, three restaurants (including a rooftop one), bars, private beach and children area, among others, the statement said.
Croatian news agency Hina reported on Friday that the value of the investment in the Hilton Costabella resort exceeds 80 million euro ($88.5 million).
