DEPA Commercial has also signed a multi-year contract for the supply of natural gas to the power plant, it said in a LinkedIn post last week.

Fier Thermoelectric was established in September 2022 as a joint venture between Greek holding group Gek Terna and Albanian construction firm Gener 2.

Fier Thermoelectric plans to build a 170 MW thermal power plant near the city of Fier, local media reported earlier this year.
