Globalworth Real Estate buys 43 mln euro office building in Bucharest

BUCHAREST (Romania), December 8 (SeeNews) - Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd. said on Monday it has acquired Unicredit Building in Bucharest for about 43 million euro ($52.7 million), with the closing of the deal scheduled for the first quarter of 2015.

Unicredit Building is a landmark, class-A office property completed in 2012 and entirely leased to Unicredit Tiriac Bank, part of Unicredit Group, on a long term basis, Globalworth Real Estate Investments, a real estate investment company targeting opportunities in Romania, said in a statement.

The building is located in in the northern part of Bucharest and comprises circa 15,500 square meters of gross leasable area over 15 floors above ground.

Earlier this month the company announced the acquisition of Nusco Tower for 46 million euro and of Nusco Land for 4.0 million euro, both located in Bucharest.

Globalworth Real Estate Investments Limited is a real estate investment company founded by real estate investor and developer Ioannis Papalekas, currently focused on investment opportunities in Romania. The company is a registered closed-ended collective investment scheme incorporated in Guernsey.
