The facility, located in the southern city of Ploiesti, has an area of some 6,500 square metres, Dachser Romania said in a statement.

The warehouse will be able to store dangerous goods, such as flammable gases and liquids and toxic substances.

The facility is divided into six fire protection zones separated by fire-resistant walls and doors. Foam fire sprinklers are installed at each storage level, the company said.

Dachser has four offices in Romania, in the capital Bucharest, in Arad, Brasov and Ploiesti.
