November 24 (SeeNews) - Kosovo will receive grants of 10.2 million euro ($11.1 million) from the German government for the diversification of the rural economy in the country, Kosovo’s rural development minister Faton Peci said.
The financing is part of a 20.2 million euro programme to support agritourism, ecotourism and rural development, with the remainder being financed by the local government, the minister said in a social media post on Thursday.
The grants target the increase and diversification of employment and self-employment opportunities in the rural areas, as well as the expansion of existing agribusiness activities, the minister added.
