December 16 (SeeNews) - Germany has decided to impose a mandatory ten-day quarantine for visitors from Albanians, Albanian media reported.
With some exceptions, the quarantine can no longer be replaced by a PCR test taken immediately before or upon entering Germany, Albanian Daily News reported on Tuesday, quoting a statement by the German embassy to Albania.
The embassy also cautioned that it would be unable to assist German citizens travelling to Albania to return home in case additional restrictive measures are introduced during their stay.
Albania has confirmed a total of 50,000 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday, including 1,028 deaths, health ministry data shows.
