At present, Gebrueder Weiss operates 20,000 sq m of logistics space with a capacity of 14,000 pallets at two locations in Serbia - in Dobanovci, near the capital Belgrade, and in the southern city of Nis.

In order to further strengthen its logistics base, the company will develop another logistics centre in Dobanovci, Gebrueder Weiss managing director for Serbia and Montenegro, Roland Raith told news service eKapija in an interview.

Apart from boosting the storage capacities, the Austrian company's future plans for Serbia include an expansion of the domestic network with a focus on home delivery services, Raith said.

"Significant growth is expected in the area of Nis, in southern Serbia, where we will expand our business activity. Also, we are going to implement a new system for managing the logistics centres, and will further develop our international collection network to and from Serbia," Raith noted.

According to him, a modest recovery of the overall economic environment is expected in the second half of 2025, which will result in revenue growth.
