Galenika leads blue-chip gainers' list on Belgrade bourse, share indices end mixed

August 30 (SeeNews) - Agricultural chemicals maker Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices ended mixed, bourse data showed.

Galenika Fitofarmacija won 1.73% and closed at 2,700 dinars as 12 of its shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 32,400 dinars.

Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] generated the highest turnover of 2.3 million dinars among the blue chips and was the most traded company on the bourse, as 1,897 of its shares were traded in 24 deals. Energoprojekt lost 1.39% and closed at 1,206 dinars.

The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, lost 0.31% to 726.24 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index grew 0.52%.

The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.04% on Wednesday and closed at 1,606.55 points, after increasing 0.73% on Tuesday.

Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue-chip decliners on the Belgrade bourse on Wednesday after losing 4.17% and closing at 11,500 dinars, as 25 of its shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 287,500 dinars.

The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 12.6 million dinars ($126,118/105,770 euro) on Wednesday from 14.3 million dinars on Tuesday, as 330 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 4.1 million dinars.
