Montupe's investment in Ruse will rise to 53 million euro in the following years, BTA quoted Montupet's vice president Didier Crozet as saying.

The plant will start manufacturing cylinder heads for engines designed for Renault's Romanian car brand Dacia and Audi cars at a later stage.

The plant will produce one million engine parts and half a million parts for vehicle suspension yearly. Its annual turnover is expected to reach 70 million euro in three years' time, BTA said.

Montupet said earlier it planned to make the Bulgarian plant its main European manufacturing unit, supplying parts to major international automobile makers, including Renault, PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Audi and Ford.
