France's Dalkia, Bulgaria's Maritsa 3 Interested in Shumen City Heating Utility Sell-off

September 11 (SeeNews) - French energy services provider Dalkia International and Bulgarian power plant Maritsa 3 have shown interest in the privatisation of a heating utility in the northeastern city of Shumen, Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency said.

The two companies have bought tender documents for the sale of 100% of the utility, the agency said in a statement posted on its website.

The deadline for placing bids is October 24, it added.

Bulgaria has sold the heating utility companies in most of its big cities aiming to liberalise its energy market after joining the European Union in January 2007.
