The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia slumped by 76.3% year-on-year, to 970,263 in January-September.
In September alone, only 33,447 foreign tourists visited Serbia, down 82.9% on the year.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was Serbia's biggest feeder market in the first nine months of 2020, with 39,575 tourists, down 60.1% on the year. Bulgarian citizens followed, down 63.8% to 24,535. Visitors from Croatia came third, down 85.9% to 23,585.
The number of domestic tourists decreased by 22.4% on the year to 1,110,656 in the first nine months of 2020, taking the total number of tourists to 1,464,664, down 43.1%.
