The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia increased by 19.7% year-on-year, to 371,837 in October, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first ten months of 2019, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 6.7% year-on-year to 1,578,164, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 7.8% to 3,408,206.
China was Serbia's biggest feeder market in October, with 19,704 tourists, up 34.2% on the year. Bosnian citizens followed, up 2.2% to 13,829. Visitors from Croatia came third, up 2.9% to 12,468.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 5.4% on the year to 157,553 in October, taking the total number of tourists to 332,044, up 9.7%.
