March 11 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 28,444 in January, up 15.5% compared with the same month a year earlier, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose 18.8% year-on-year to 52,706 in January, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in January, 19.3% came from Turkey, 11.6% from Serbia and 11.4% from Greece.
Domestic tourists numbered 19,317 in January, up 3% compared with the like month the year before, as they spent 49,373 overnights, up 11.5% on the year.
