The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in August increased by an annual 13.3% to 220,915, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 12.6% of all overnights in August, followed by tourists from Russia with an 11.4% share, France with 7.9%, Poland with 5.6%, the United Kingdom with 5.3% and Germany with 4.4%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 92.1% of all overnight stays, followed by the country's capital with 3.4%, mountain resorts with 2.4% and other tourist resorts with 1.7%.
