April 9 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia totalled 169,401 in February, an increase of 18.2% compared to the same month of 2023, the statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourist in Croatia rose 6.7% on the year, to 415,522 in February, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Local tourist arrivals increased 10.7% on the year to 143,053, and the number of overnights by local tourists went up 9.9% to 287,581 in February.
Foreign tourist arrivals to the Adriatic country rose 10% on the year to 16.855 million in 2023, the same statistical office has said earlier.
Tourism is a key industry for the economy of the Adriatic country, contributing a fifth of the country's GDP.
