November 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia fell 1.3% on the year to 1.994 million in September, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia grew 1.6% on the year in September, to 9.9 million, the statistical office said in a statement.
In September 2019, the number of Croatian tourists increased by 3.3% year-on-year to 175,665, while the overnights they spent rose 5.7% to 504,762.
Overall, the number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Adriatic country edged down 0.9% to 2.2 million on the year in September.
Tourists from Germany accounted for 31% of all overnights spent by international visitors in September, followed by tourists from Austria with 9.8%, United Kingdom (7.4%) and Poland (6.2%).
