The number of overnights spent by foreign tourist in Croatia declined 9.3% on the year, to 2.3 million in April, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Local tourist arrivals fell 1.3% on the year to 217,565, and the number of overnights by local tourists went down 5.9% to 465,369 in April.
Foreign tourist arrivals to the Adriatic country rose 10% on the year to 16.855 million in 2023, the same statistical office has said earlier.
Tourism is a key industry for the economy of the Adriatic country, contributing a fifth of the country's GDP.
