Foreign tourist arrivals to Bulgaria rise in Sept

October 27 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria in September rose by an annual 6.6%, reaching 1.27 million, data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) showed on Friday.

Citizens of EU member states made up 64% of all arrivals of international visitors in September, the data indicated.

Vacation trips in September accounted for 46% of all foreign visits, while business trips made up 16% of the total number during the month.

The number of foreigners who visited friends or relatives or just transited the country accounted for 38% of all arrivals in September.
