Foreign tourist arrivals to Bosnia's Federation up 29% y/y in Oct

November 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in October totalled 87,858, up 29.2% compared with the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Wednesday.

Foreign tourists spent 165,840 overnights in the Federation in October, an annual increase of 25%, the Federation's statistical office said in a monthly report.

The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in October was 120,316, up 21.4% on the year. Total tourist overnights increased 17.7% on the year to 223,305 in October.

In October the most foreign visitors to the Federation came from Croatia (12,203), followed by tourists from Turkey (11,427), and Slovenia (6,821).

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
