February 8 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in 2017 grew 19% on the year, reaching 923,050, according to official data from the country's statistical office.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in 2017 increased by 14% year-on-year to 1,307,319, data posted on the website of Bosnia's Agency for Statistics showed.
Total tourist overnights last year increased to 2,677,125, up 12% year-on-year. Of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 72%, or 1,913,444 - up 16% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 12% of all foreign tourist overnights in 2017, followed by visitors from Serbia with 8.1% and Turkey with 7.3%.
