September 23 (SeeNews) - Albania attracted a total of 575,559 foreign tourists in August, down 63% on the year, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Foreign tourist arrivals fell 64% year-on-year in the eight months through August, as a total of 1.7 million foreign tourists entered the country, the statistical office said in a statement.
In August alone, the number of domestic tourists decreased by 61% on the year to 271,414. The total number of domestic and foreign tourists in plunged 63% year-on-year to 846,973 in the month under review.
In August, Albania attracted 356,327 visitors from Kosovo, 88,781 from North Macedonia and 20,902 from Greece.
