December 17 (SeeNews) - International food delivery services provider foodpanda said on Wednesday it has acquired several food delivery companies in Central Eastern Europe (CEE).

Foodpanda acquires peers in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro

As part of the CEE acquisition push, foodpanda acquired Donesi.com, which operates in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, Croatia's Pauza.hr and Hungary's NetPincer.hu, the company said in a statement.

With this move, foodpanda said it established itself as market leader in each of these countries while targeting market leadership across CEE.

Foodpanda will merge its operations under the Donesi brand in Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro and customers will have access to an increased number of over 550 restaurants.

“Foodpanda has always been focusing on Central Eastern Europe as one of the most important food delivery markets. The recent acquisitions strengthen our leading position and will allow for an even better and more comprehensive offering to our customers,” the company's co-founder and managing director, Ralf Wenzel, said.

Foodpanda group is the leading global online food delivery marketplace, active in 41 countries on five continents. In the region, the company already operates in Bulgaria and Romania.
