Five companies eye Croatia's TZV Gredelj - media

December 13 (SeeNews) - Five companies are interested in buying, leasing or cooperating with Croatian rolling stock manufacturer TZV Gredelj, Croatian media reported on Thursday.

Electro-Motive Diesel, owned by U.S.-based Progress Rail Manufacturing Corporation, is interested in acquiring the Croatian company and wants to conduct due diligence with a view of placing an offer, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik (www.poslovni.hr) quoted TZV Gredelj's bankruptcy trustee Pero Hrkac as saying.

U.S-based National Railway Equipment Company (NREC) is interested in acquiring part of TZV Gredelj's business or assets, primarily the locomotives productionunit.

The third potential investor is Qatar-based Blooming Heights L.L.C, Poslovni said.

Croatian Railways company, the former owner of TZV Gredelj, is interested in leasing of business and production facilities and purchasing of equipment and machines.

The China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation (CCOEC) is interested in acquiring TZV Gredelj as a whole.

Zagreb-based TZV Gredelj is currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.
