Finnish Air Carrier Blue1 To Launch Flights to Croatian Towns Split, Dubrovnik

September 12 (SeeNews) - Finnish air carrier Blue1, part of Scandinavian Airlines SAS, said on Friday it will launch flights from Helsinki to the Croatian Adriatic towns of Split and Dubrovnik next summer.

Blue1's plans are to start operating flights to both Dubrovnik and Split from Helsinki-Vantaa airport, Tom Christides, Vice President Communications and Public Affairs said in a statement sent to SeeNews.

Dubrovnik and Split are popular tourist destinations.

The flights to Split will be performed Fridays and Sundays from May 3 until October 18, the company said in a statement posted on its website. Blue1 will fly to Dubrovnik twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, from June 22 to August 17.

The destinations will be operated with MD-90 aircraft.

Blue1 has been a Finnish SAS Group airline company since 1998. It operates flights from Helsinki, Vaasa, Tampere and Turku in Finland.
