Finland's Alma Career Oy to acquire Bosnia's Posao.ba

Alma Career Oy submitted on November 10 a request for approval of the planned acquisition, the competition council said in a statement on Friday.

Since the planned merger will impact the relevant job advertising and employment recruitment markets in Bosnia, the competition council is asking all interested parties to send their comments and concerns on the issue within eight days, it said.

Sarajevo-based Kolektiv was established in 2001, creating the Posao.ba job portal in 2004. It offers recruitment services to clients from all Balkan countries, the Baltic states, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey.

Alma Career is already active on the recruitment markets in CEE countries including Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Slovakia, among others.

It also offers a gateway to 50 other countries across the global job market, thanks to its joint ownership by Alma Media and Monster Worldwide Inc.
