Fifty vie in tender for technical design of road repairs in central Bulgaria

November 2 (SeeNews) - Fifty candidates have submitted offers in a 1.75 million levs ($885,191/894,761 euro) tender for the technical design of road repair works in central Bulgaria, the country’s Road Infrastructure Agency said.

The project involves the development of a technical design for the overhaul of 87 kilometres of roads, including at the key Shipka mountain pass, which connects the northern and southern parts of the country, the government agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

The project is divided into five lots. The first lot has an indicative value of 219,400 levs and attracted eight bidders, including Patproject 2000, G M Engineering, Infraconstruct, Patproject, Transconsult-22, Trafic Holding, Via Plan and Ilia Burda.

Infraconstruct, Patproject, Transconsult-22, Trafic Holding and Via Plan also submitted offers for the second lot, which is worth 296,100 lev. Additionally, six more bidders participated, including Bul stroi invest, Urban Group, Ves-Invest-n, Patno poddarjane i stroitelstvo - 2009, Rutex and the Institute of Transportation Engineering.

Excluding Infraconstruct, all the participants in the first two lots also took part in the third lot, worth 632,620 levs, with Trafic Holding leading a group called Trafic Holding Varna. Additionally, offers were submitted by Engconsultproject Ltd and a consortium led by EKJ Bulgaria Consulting Engineers.

The fourth lot, worth161,200 levs, attracted six companies, including Infraconstruct, Transconsult-22, Trafic Holding, Via Plan, Project Planning and Management and the EKJ consortium.

The fifth lot, valued at 436,560 levs, attracted offers from 11 companies, including Infraconstruct, Bul stroi invest, Patproject, Urban Group, Ves-invest-n, Transconsult-22, Traffic Holding, Via-plan, Project Planning and Management, Rutex and the Institute of Transportation Engineering.
