FDI into N. Macedonia falls in Jan-Sept

December 1 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into North Macedonia totalled 352.13 million euro ($383.4 million) in the nine months through September, compared to a net inflow of 504.65 million euro in the like period of 2022, central bank data showed on Friday.

In the third quarter alone, FDI inflow into North Macedonia amounted to 63.61 million euro, as compared to an FDI inflow of 206.87 million euro in the same period a year earlier, according to the central bank data.

In the third quarter of 2023, investments in equity and reinvestment of earnings increased, while intercompany debt registered net outflows, the central bank said.

In 2022, FDI into North Macedonia totalled 753.8 million euro, up from 512 million euro in 2021.
